I understand that visiting a new hairstylist can feel intimidating, especially when you’re unsure of what to expect. To help make your first visit as smooth and comfortable as possible, here’s some additional information to guide you.

Appointment + Forms:
Once you book your appointment, you'll receive an email and text confirmation with all the details. A reminder will also be sent 24 hours before your appointment. I understand that things happen—I kindly ask that any cancellations or adjustments be made at least 48 hours in advance. This allows other guests the opportunity to take your spot and helps keep my schedule running smoothly.
You will receive a client intake form—please fill it out before your appointment so I have your correct contact information and can best prepare for your visit.

When you walk in:
Step into the inviting atmosphere of Blendology Hair Studio, home to Color Edit by Nic—a chic boutique salon in Naperville. Designed for both comfort and style, our space is a collective of independent stylists, each bringing their own expertise.
There isn’t a receptionist, but don’t worry—I’ll be keeping an eye out for you! Just have a seat in the cozy waiting area, stocked with a variety of snacks and beverages—feel free to help yourself. Sit back, relax, and I’ll greet you when it’s time for your appointment.

Let's go over any questions or concerns you had on your form before your visit. We will consult more in-depth on what your goals are and map out a hair journey to better help get you there. Feel free to bring in hair inspiration pictures to help me better understand your vision.
Before we begin, we’ll go over any questions or concerns you noted on your intake form. We’ll have an in-depth consultation to discuss your hair goals and create a customized plan to achieve them. Feel free to bring inspiration photos—they’ll help me better understand your vision! And if you don’t have one, that’s okay too! I’d love to help you discover the best path for you.
Things to note:

I am a color specialist with a focus on scalp and hair health. To fully dedicate myself to my craft, I do not offer haircuts. I understand that booking color and cut appointments together is convenient, so if you’d like a haircut after your service, feel free to reach out to me directly at nic.coloredit@gmail.com—I’d be happy to set it up for you with one of our talented independent stylists in the salon.

If you’re not satisfied with your hair color, please reach out to me within 7 days of your appointment to schedule any necessary adjustments. Most tweaks are complimentary, but if a significant amount of color is needed, a product fee may apply. Your hair is an investment, and I truly value your business—don’t hesitate to let me know if any refinements are needed so you can love your hair!

Cancellations/Rescheduling – As mentioned in your pre-visit, I understand that things happen. If possible, I kindly ask for at least 48 hours' notice for cancellations or rescheduling to help my business operate smoothly.
Late Arrivals – If you arrive late, I may need to adjust your service or, in some cases, reschedule your appointment to ensure you receive the full experience. Thank you for understanding!

For all services, please leave bulky jewelry at home and avoid wearing light-colored or collared tops to your appointment.
Color Services: Please arrive with clean hair that has been washed within the last 48 hours.
Scalp Therapy Services: Please ensure your hair has been washed within the last 24 hours.
Hair Treatments: A consultation is required before booking. During your consultation, I will guide you on how to properly prep your hair for your appointment.
